I am pleased to announce that the fifth episode of the NoSQL Database Podcast, sponsored by Couchbase, has been published to the popular podcasting outlets.  The episode titled Big Data and Where it Fits with NoSQL, focuses on various big data tools like Apache Spark and Hadoop and how the technologies play particularly nice with NoSQL.

In this episode I am joined by Anand Iyer from Cloudera where we discuss how people are commonly using Hadoop and Apache Spark and the differences between the two technologies.  Topics in this episode include what is Hadoop and Apache Spark, where Map Reduce comes into play, and a bunch of other very technical things.
