Hello Couchbase!

I am thrilled to be writing this blog post announcing to the world that Membase and CouchOne have merged to become Couchbase!

Our website is full of information about the merger, and I invite you to read more about why we brought our two companies together, redefining the NoSQL landscape in the process. Check out the blog posts from Membase's James Phillips (here) and CouchOne's Damien Katz (here) for their perspectives. I think you'll enjoy the merger video they did.

But now...it's time to celebrate!

Tonight (February 8) you will find us at the Tied House in downtown Mountain View. It's open bar and appetizers for our employees, the CouchDB and Membase/Memcached communities and friends of the companies.

Please join us!

When:    Tuesday, February 8, 2011

Time:      7:30pm - 9:30pm

Where:   Tied House, Mountain View, California
945 Villa Street (just a few blocks from the train station)

Hope to see you there!

And be sure to stay tuned as we unfold our product plans in the coming weeks and months. You can follow us on Twitter, or sign up here and we'll keep you posted.
