Devoxx France 2016Couchbase is sponsoring DevoxxFR. Pay us a visit if you're around!

As a Devoxx champion I am really happy to tell you Couchbase is sponsoring DevoxxFR 2016!

Join us at our booth to talk about all things Couchbase. The whole french team will be there. Don't be shy and ask us about the latest features in Couchbase 4.5 like fulltext search, covering indexes for arrays, flexible JOINs, the new enterprise backup tool or RYOW for N1QL queries. We will have some great swag for you!

But you might wonder why should you visit our booth? What's Couchbase and what problem will it fix for you?

Well in case you did not know, Couchbase is a Database. An in-memory, distributed, document database. Even more than that, it's a database that lets you run SQL queries with N1QL(an SQL superset), fulltext queries thanks to our Bleve integration, GeoSpatial/Multidimensional queries and Map/Reduce queries. We also have a lightweight database that runs on mobile/embeded devices and sync automatically to the server database.

Now the next question you might legitimately ask yourself is, does it make coffee? Sadly not yet. But Couchbase is still a great database(some might start saying data platform) to start your project.

And if you are starting a project with Couchbase you will be glad to know it's well integrated in the Big Data ecosystem with connectors for Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Talend, a JDBC and ODBC driver. We also have SDKs for major languages and tight integration with Frameworks like Spring.

This makes Couchbase a great fit for pretty much any kind of application. If you want to know what our users and customers are doing with Couchbase, here's a non-exhaustive list of use cases:

  • Real-Time Big Data
  • Mobile Applications
  • Profile Management
  • Content Management
  • Customer 360° View
  • Internet of Everything
  • Fraud Detection
  • Catalogs
  • Personalization
  • Digital Communication

So if you have any questions about all this, come to our booth, get some swag and your questions answered :)
