Community Spotlight: Meeting Klaus Trainer
Hey, this is Jan. Last night community member Klaus Trainer was visiting Berlin and since our own Volker Mische is currently in town as well, we went for dinner and drinks.
Klaus got featured here a few times for his contributions to the community, his work on BigCouch, his own distribution layer over CouchDB and many other things. It was a good opportunity to catch up with what he’s up to now (I’d love to, but can’t yet reveal :).
CouchDB Programming Tricks: NodeJS and Console Magic
Earlier today Siegmund @0xx0 Führinger published a neat little trick on Twitter and I thought I’d share it with you.
He wrote a very tiny NodeJS script to read responses from CouchDB views. The script allows you to pass in a chunk of JavaScript that then operates on the response. All you need is a little NodeJS installed. But I assume you already have that :) — If not, now is a good time to get started.
Thesis on CouchDB now available
I’m happy to announce the immediate availability of my thesis! — Lena writes.
And boy are we! :)

See you there! Jan
