MrRoboto: The memcached AMI story

memcached AMI security

One other feature we were able to easily put in place leverages security capabilities in OpenSolaris.  In the Solaris least privilege model, a process can take privs away from itself.  Why would it do that?

memcached 1.4.0 released

So, word is getting around that memcached 1.4 has shifted from release candidate to release!  Twitter was all abuzz yesterday. New in this release: binary protocol, performance improvements, new statistics and new CAS operations among others.
